The Homeless Cat Network provides numerous opportunities for volunteers to help improve the lives of community cats. You can work directly with cats, or you can work behind the scenes on program management, fundraising and events, PR/marketing, or online promotion. We welcome your energy and enthusiasm for any length of time--whether you have just an hour or two to spare once a week, or are seeking a deeper level of involvement. Work directly with cats:

• Fostering: Socialize kittens and cats for adoption
• Visiting adoptable cats at Petsmart: Visit kitties-in-residence at one of our two Petsmart locations, to clean, feed, and give them playtime.
• Rescuing: Help trap, neuter, and return feral cats
• Socializing: Help abandoned or traumatized adult cats with gentle care
• Colony Feeding:  Provide fresh food and water to altered ferals in managed, outdoor colonies
• Adoption Fair Coordinators: Help adoptable kitties find homes through weekend fairs
• Transporters: Help cats get to and from vet appointments or adoption fairs
• Cat Recovery Helper: Provide a few days' shelter to a cat recovering from surgery
  

Work behind the scenes on programs, fundraising/events, PR/Marketing, online promotion:

• Volunteer Coordinators: Help new volunteers find a fulfilling role with our organization
  
• Events and Fundraising: Help raise money for homeless cats by organizing or staffing an event, or networking with donors
  
• Marketing, PR, and Promotions: Use your skills to help HCN  manage its public profile
