About the Artist
Carolyn Allmacher is an acclaimed photographer and lifelong animal lover with a special affinity for homeless cats. After adopting and falling in love with Murray, a friendly community cat, she began volunteering with Homeless Cat Network (HCN) as a colony feeder. Moved by the magnificence, grace and dignity of the colony cats, she started taking her camera along to capture their secret lives, unique personalities and hidden moments of breathtaking beauty.
Once HCN discovered her stunning, unique artwork, Carolyn became inspired to photograph cats from numerous HCN colonies, and her collection began. Many of her stunning photos are featured on HCN branded products, in ads and newsletters, and on the HCN and Project Bay Cat Facebook pages.
By popular demand and to support HCN’s mission to help homeless cats, Carolyn has created an exclusive collection of her remarkable photos for A Walk on the Wild Side.
