Picture
How do I stop nuisance behavior?

Are the feral cats in your neighborhood fighting, yowling, spraying, or giving birth to endless litters of kittens? There’s an easy solution: Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Sterilization virtually eliminates nuisance behavior while also improving the health of the cats.  To learn how to TNR cats, please click here.

How do I stop feral cats from digging in my garden?

There are many simple solutions, including:
  • Scatter fresh orange and lemon peels, or use citrus-scented spray around the area
  • Plant the herb “rue” to repel cats, or sprinkle dried rue over the garden
  • Use “Cat Scat,” a non-chemical cat- and wildlife-repellant, which deters digging
  • Sprinkle coffee grounds or pipe tobacco around areas where you want to deter cats
  • Install a motion-activated water sprinkler
  • Cover exposed ground with attractive river rocks to prevent cats from digging
  • Provide a designated ‘potty site’ in an unused section of your yard with a 25-50 pound pile of sand
